THE IELTS
IELTS is a what kind of test?
The International English Language Testing System is known as IELTS. An examination for non-native English speakers is being offered. Its goal is to assess your English proficiency; the result is a band score between 0 and 9. When applying for a job, enrolling in college or university, or emigrating to an English-speaking nation, you typically need to take the IELTS test. The IELTS test consists of two modules: Academic and General Training. How is the IELTS exam set up?
The IELTS test is divided into four sections:
Hearing test
Test of Reading
Writing and Speaking Exams
About 40 minutes are needed for the Listening test 30 minutes are used to listen to a tape and respond to questions based on what you hear, and 10 minutes are used to enter your responses on the Answer Sheet (if you’re taking the test on paper). In an IELTS computer-delivered You will have two minutes to review the responses you have previously written in the blanks.
You must read passages of material and respond to questions based on what you have read during the hour-long reading test. We discuss the various kinds of tasks you could encounter on this website.
You get 20 minutes to compose a letter or report and 40 minutes to write an essay for the Writing test, which also lasts an hour.
The speaking examination lasts up to 15 minutes and is divided into three sections: an interview in which the examiner questions you about yourself, a cue card talk in which you speak alone, and a two-way discussion with the examiner.
Only before the Speaking test do you get a break from the Listening, Reading, and Writing tests. The Speaking test may occasionally even be given on a different day.
